Tesla, among other auto manufacturers, is one of the companies that seriously develops autopilot features. Additionally, the newest update on Tesla’s autopilot will come up shortly.
For those who are not closely following updates pertaining to Tesla Autopilot, the latest feature it supports is the ability to move lanes automatically. The system can also run at the same speed and automatically slow down if the object in front of the car is slowing down as well.
Furthermore, Tesla is planning to launch a full self-driving system which enables the car to automatically and safely bring the passengers from point A to point B. Tesla will launch the feature sometime in the year while previously missing the 2019 target for the feature.
Regarding the full self-driving system, the company just announced a try-out for its new autopilot feature. Accordingly, the new feature will enable Tesla car to stop at red lights and stop signs by itself.

What ‘Stop Autopilot’ System Means for Tesla
The novel feature, which enables the car to automatically stop at red lights and stop signs, will bridge the current autopilot system to its ‘feature complete’ version. This is because such features are mandatory for a full self-driving car.
While the update is not yet to be publicly available, some beta-testers said that it really works. It is in contrast to the report in December last year, saying that the feature was yet to be available.
Regarding the update, Tesla highly suggests that the drivers always keep their hands ready on the steering wheels. Despite being able to analyze intersections in the future, the company would like to remind that the drivers are still responsible for driving the vehicle.
The stop system, which will be available for public sometime in this year, will not be only update that the company is working on. To elaborate, Tesla is also working on the system to supports full autopilot on city streets. Little is known regarding the release date and details.
