Android applications will reportedly be able to run directly on Microsoft’s Windows 10 devices next year.
However, this Android application does not run on Windows with the help of an emulator as it is currently being done.
Later, Windows users can directly download the Android application via the Microsoft Store. So, users don’t need to install additional software such as Bluestack or an emulator made by Microsoft, Your Phone.
It is estimated that Microsoft wants the experience of using Android applications on Windows Phone to be more integrated. This method is called imitating the policies of Google’s operating system, Chrome OS. Because, in the operating system, users can immediately install Android applications.
However, it is not yet known whether Windows Subsystem for Linux can implementthis capability or not.
There is a doubt come from Google Play Support
There is still a question about Google Play support. Because, it’s likely that Google won’t give permission to access the Play Store from Windows devices. Because many Android applications are complete with Google Play support.
Without access to Google Play, Microsoft will likely have to create its own app store, as Samsung and Huawei did, as reported by SlashGear.
It is still unclear the exact date of implementation of this plan. It is also unclear whether this plan will apply to Windows products that run on ARM-based devices or not. The reason is, all Android applications have indeed been built for ARM devices.
This policy change was made after Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer was transferred to Panos Panay. Under his leadership, Microsoft plans to carry out a major Windows 10 update in the second half of 2021. They will introduce top features and update the appearance of the operating system.
Launching Windows Central, in addition to including Android applications, Microsoft will also install a 64-bit version of the x-86 version of the Windows 10 application emulation for ARM devices.
So, Windows applications that are on the desktop today can also be used on ARM devices such as the Surface Pro X.
